OLIN, Iowa - Larry R. Elshoff, 64, a former resident of Muscatine, passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the Island United Methodist Church. A Celebration Gathering will be held from 12 noon until 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the church. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Larry was born on September 1, 1953, in Muscatine, the son of Raymond J. Jennie Lee Britcher Elshoff. He married Debra Kobes on May 13, of 1989, at the First Church United in West Liberty.
He was a graduate of St. Charles High School class of 1971, St. Charles, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Debra Elshoff of Olin; children, Les and Andrea King of Davenport, Josh and Estee Thorndyke of Moline, Illinois, Randy Elshoff of Standwood, Cindy and Harry Bonnell of Davenport, and Jennifer and Cesare Taylor of Clarence; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Lee and Phyllis Elshoff of Sycamore, Illinois, Richard and Patti Elshoff of Maple Park, Illinois, Don and Deb Elshoff of Malta, Illinois, Ed and Kay Elshoff of Creston, Illinois, Patricia and Richard Dummer of Muscatine, Barbara Cole and Calvin Jungvirt of Linn Creek, Missouri, Lynn and Gary Reinier of Durant, and Chris and Larry Brown of Illinois City, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Raymond and Larry Elshoff Jr.; one granddaughter, Sherrie Elshoff; and one brother, Randy Elshoff.
