HAROLD ‘DID’ LLOYD
MUSCATINE, Iowa – Harold ‘Did’ Lloyd, 76, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Harmony in Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Schoepf will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in his honor to Kevin Lloyd. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Harold was born on March 22, 1948, in Muscatine, the son of Merle S. and Thelma Ingram Lloyd. He married Elly Beechum on January 25, 1969. They later divorced.
Harold was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War on the USS Booster. Harold was a member of the Quarterback Club. He worked in maintenance for Monsanto.
Harold enjoyed coaching, golf, and fast pitch softball. He was an avid 49er, Hawkeye, and Cardinal’s fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Harold is survived by his children, Kevin Lloyd (Michelle) of Muscatine and Teneall Lloyd of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Tyler ‘TJ’ Lloyd, Brittni Lloyd, Jose ‘Joey’ Martinez, Tenea Martinez, Thalia Martinez, Mason Crabtree, and Madison Crabtree; great granddaughter, Jasiah Lloyd; siblings, Pearl Valentine-Branch of Atlanta, Georgia, Betty Taylor of College Park, Georgia, Melvin Lloyd of Ames, and Spencer Lloyd (Leisa) of Muscatine; and sister-in-law, Carla Lloyd of Rock Island, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Michael Lloyd, Deborah Lloyd, Gerald ‘Bunchie’ Lloyd, and Howard Lloyd; and brother-in-law, John Branch.
