LINDA JEHRING
In the early morning of November 1, 2023, Linda Kay (Avesing) Jehring passed away after a 5-month battle with cancer. Linda was 64 years old.

Linda was born in Muscatine, IA to Leo and Audrey Avesing in October, 1959. She attended the University of Iowa and received her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She married her high school sweetheart, Stephen Jehring, in August 1982 and together they raised one son, Ian, and four golden retrievers. Linda worked as a dental hygienist, most recently for Dr. Robert McNurlen, and was beloved by her patients.

Linda had a passion for gardening. Her yard is filled with her favorite flower, irises, and there are more than 100 bulbs spread throughout her yard. She had a deep love for her dogs, and she would either walk the dog or be at the dog park daily. Linda also had a gift for cooking and baking. No matter the occasion, she would whip up a treat for her family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Leo, her mother Audrey, her in-laws Robert and Helen Jehring, and her dogs Lucas, Willoughby, and Kirby. She is survived by her husband Stephen, her son Ian, her daughter-in-law Hannah, her siblings Mike (Phyllis) Avesing, Sue (Roger) Thone, Kathy Wang, Tom Avesing, several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews, and her dog Spenser.

A public internment service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in St. Mary's Cemetery, in Muscatine, IA.
