CASKETS

The selection of a casket is a very important and personal decision. It can serve as a memorialization of a life lived. We believe that finding the right casket is so important, we offer 26 caskets at our funeral home in all price ranges.

Caskets are made of several different materials such as bronze, copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Wood caskets are also very popular. They are made of mahogany, walnut, cherry, oak, maple, and ash.

To see our caskets, simply stop at the funeral home or have a prearrangement consultant visit you at your home. You can also go to our Family Advisor and view 70 caskets available through our Aurora distributor.

VAULTS

A vault is an outer burial container that houses the casket. Most cemeteries require that the casket be placed in an outer burial container. A vault serves two basic services: 1) it helps protect the casket from the elements and 2) it keeps the grave from settling. Vaults are most often made of reinforced concrete with an asphalt coating and lined with different grades of plastics and metals. To see our vaults, stop at the funeral home and or have a prearrangement consultant visit your home. You can also go to our Family Advisor and view the vaults available through our Wilbert distributor.

CREMATION

Cremation is another method of disposition of human remains. Families can select cremation before or after the funeral service. Cremation now offers more choices than ever. For more information on cremation, please stop at the Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home or have a prearrangement consultant visit you in your home.

URNS

Just like a casket, the selection of an urn is a very important and personal decision. People usually select an urn that they consider appropriate or symbolic of their loved one. Urns are crafted from many materials like bronze and stainless steel, woods like walnut, cherry, and oak; ceramics, marble, and hand blown glass. Most urns are able to be personalized. To see our urns, stop at the funeral home, have a prearrangement consultant visit you in your home, or go to our Family Advisor to view 72 urns offered through our Meierjohan-Wengler distributor.

MARKERS AND MONUMENTS

A marker or monument is created because there was a life. It serves as a memorialization of a life lived. We offer an outstanding selection of traditional and contemporary markers and monuments. There are unlimited possibilities regarding shape, lettering style, and personalization. We will be happy to help you design a memorial that will honor your loved one. Stop by the funeral home and we will explain all the options available and cemetery regulations concerning markers and monuments.
