assigned as a first baseman in little league baseball play one night the coach found himself without a starting pitcher, he asked Dave to give it a try... first game he ever pitched in his life- he threw a no hitter! ... and then there's the time we were fishing on the river bank, rain started falling hard, we wedged our fishin' poles in the rocks, stepped back under a tree to stay dry. Suddenly, David's pole, like magic, shot out of the rocks, into the air, then into the water, and away, apparently being pulled by a large fish... only time in my life i ever heard a kid get angry at a fish, the one that got away. what a guy!
