Frank was born on July 24, 1937, in New Boston, Illinois, the son of Frank A. and Margaret Wedekind Lascelles. He was united in marriage to Bessie J. Smith on November 23, 1961 in Muscatine, Iowa.

Frank proudly served in the United States Navy. He loved God and his country. After serving he frequented the Maid Rite where he met the love of his life Bessie. The two became a couple and married later having 3 children; two daughters-Margaret and Carolynn; and one son Frank. He was a dedicated father and devoted loving husband.

Frank worked at GPC for 40 years where his work ethic and personality were evident to those that worked with or around him. He retired from GPC in 2001 however, Frank never not worked, as his favorite jobs were being a good husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather (roles which he embraced and loved but took very seriously). In addition, he farmed his family farm in the Illinois Bay area and Wilton; was handy man and mr fix it for many, he would help anyone at any time giving those the shirt off his back or the food off his plate. He kept an open door and "I'll keep the light on for you" policy for everyone.

Frank enjoyed spending time at the campground surrounded by his family and friends. He loved fishing, woodworking, and taking all his children and grandchildren on tours of his past with ice cream stops after. He never met a stranger and those that did not know him initially were quickly reeled in by his stories, sense of humor, and humble nature. Frank had an unforgettable and comforting smile, or some would call it a grin, his demeanor, but also his ornery side that kept his children and Bessie on their toes. Many remember Frank for his big bear hugs because you could feel the sincerity in his embrace. Frank displayed patience in teaching life skills, which he thoroughly enjoyed as he too enjoyed tinkering, doing honey do's, and keeping busy. Frank taught many lessons, but his biggest teaching was money can buy things, but people and memories can not be replaced or bought so tell those who you love how much they mean to you when you are able.

Franks family would like to thank his caregiver Johnnie Kelly for the love and compassion she showed him daily while caring for him.

Those left to honor his life and legacy include his wife, Bessie Lascelles of Muscatine; one son Frank Lascelles Jr and wife Christine of Wilton and their 3 children; Frank Curtis, Kelsey and Aaron Fox, and Chase Lascelles; two daughters Margaret "Margo" Steinke and her husband Donald of Muscatine and their 5 children Edwin and Kacey Steinke, D.J. and Lauran Steinke, Ashton and Michael Phillips, Chloe Steinke, and Madalynn Steinke; Daughter Carolyn Arp and her husband Jeff of Kirksville, Missouri and their 2 children Jordan Arp, and Tyler and Emily Arp. Franks great grandchildren: Kierci, Malachi, Julian, A.J., Cormick, Easton, Loren, Lux, Landon, Bennett, and Livian. Frank also leaves behind one brother Jack R. Lascelles and his wife Jodi both of Muscatine.

Frank received the ultimate healing although he will be deeply missed. He went home to be with his parents Frank A and Margaret Lascelles; two brothers Tom and Bill Lascelles and one sister Nancy Lascelles.
