To the Cassidy family:
So sorry for your loss, prayers to all. I had the pleasure of meeting and caring for Neal at Pearl Valley (the first time he was there). We had several talks about family and he got to meet my oldest son Jason Wheeler and was very pleased to do so, they too had a couple of interesting conversations as well. He always had an ornery streak to him which was a fun part of my day at work. I was surprised to see that he had passed, he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my dear friend. Tonya Brokaw
Uncle Neal has and will always have a special place in my heart. His love of music sparked my love of acoustic guitar as a child. I cherish all the memories of him and my Dad (Loren) playing as a child. He not only instilled the love of music in my father, but hard work and dedication to family. Those values my father passed down to us and made me who I am today. I will miss him with a heavy heart and keep with me all my fond memories. I know his energy will live on to bring light to others forever. My deepest condolences to all of our family and friends, for this is a great loss to us all.
I will always cherish the last conversation I had with you at work Neal. I’ve missed seeing you walk out to the dining room for months, wearing that plaid flannel and serving you your coffee. I’ll never forget you Neal, thank you for making my work another reason why I do it, for you guys. I’ll miss you, - kitchen girl Mariah
My Dearest Uncle Neal! Your music that you and Aunt Jan will never leave my heart and my soul. As I look at these pictures it just reminds me of all my memories I had as a little girl sitting on the living room floor, drinking ice tea listening to my uncles play there guitars and my aunts sweet voice sing. I will never forget our every Sunday visit we had they were oh so special to me as a little girl. My family made the young woman who I am now. I love you so much. I am missing you so much. Wait for me at those gates, watch over all of us keep us safe in God's hands.
Deepest sympathy for Jan, Loren, Carol, Jim and Lola and their families. I enjoyed visiting Neal and Jan once as a kid and experienced the steel guitar for the first time on that trip, played by Neal of course. May the Heavens get to hear your music now Neal. Got Bless!
Jan we are so very sorry for your loss! It’s been a long time but I still remember listening to you & Neal playing in your band at the Sportsman in Conesville! You are in our thoughts & prayers! 🙏🙏

A few words from brother Loren Cassidy I.B.E.W. Local Union # 22 Omaha Nebraska
Thank You Brother Neal for inspiring me to do great things. I had witnessed you entering the trades and so was encouraged by your efforts to explore those possibilities for myself. Also on a more personal level, the music that was brought to our household as early at 1967 from You and Jan were nothing short of inspirational, It brought a message of new hope and confidence, and for me, it carried me through the hardest times of my life. We are eternally grateful for your presents on this earth.
