Kevin Swart AINSWORTH, Iowa #45;- Kevin Gary Swart, 37, Ainsworth, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Iowa City. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Presbyterian Church, Lone Tree. The Rev. Ann Rouse will officiate. Burial will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the church after the burial. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home, Lone Tree. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home. Mr. Swart was born on Jan. 31, 1965, in Iowa City, the son of Gary Albert Swart and Dixie Dee (McGregor) Meyer. He was a 1984 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School where he enjoyed playing several sports, excelling in football and wrestling. After high school, he attended Ellsworth Community College, Iowa Falls, for electrical engineering. He was a communications specialist at Gerrard Electric. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Union 145 NECA Local. He enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved to spend time with his family, friends and his dog, Max. Survivors include his mother, Dixie Meyer and her husband, David, of Lone Tree; his father, Gary Swart of Dixon, Ill.; a son, Cody Simms of Okeechochee, Fla.; a brother, Kurt Swart and his wife, Jeannie, of Newark, Calif. and their children, Ryan and Jordan Davidson and Brandon McBrien (Swart); a sister, Jane Drahovzal and her husband, Terry, of Lone Tree and their children, Kyah, Rikki and Randy; grandparents, Bob and Betty McGregor of Lone Tree; grandmother, Mabel Swart of Winter Haven, Fla.; stepgrandmother, Marilynn Stuart of Lone Tree; five stepbrothers, Andrew Meyer of Lone Tree, Eric Kirkpatrick and his wife, Marcia, and their son, Ryan, of Nichols, Scott Meyer of Lone Tree, Rick Meyer and Steve Meyer, both of Crowley, Texas; special uncle and aunt, Terry McGregor and his wife, Darlene, and their children, Kim and Sherri McGregor and Sherri's children, Tomeka and Jesse, all of Coralville; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Swart; stepgrandfather, Kenneth Meyer; and several aunts and uncles.
