STEVEN EUGENE PLOWMAN
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Steven E. Plowman, 77, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Steven's name. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Steve was born on December 21, 1945, in Muscatine, the son of Francis Leon and Helen Merle Martin Plowman. He married Janice Peterson on December 2, 1979, at Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine.

Steve retired from Grain Processing Corporation where he worked as a welder. He loved playing with his dog Sophie, reading books, riding his trike on hot summer days, attending a monthly luncheon with his friends from GPC, and just enjoying nature on the Mississippi River.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; his daughters, Mindy May and her husband, Matt, of Cedar Rapids, SteFanie Thelen and her husband, Steven, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Julie Peterson of Muscatine; one son, Michael Peterson and his wife, Amy, of Charlestown, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Kortney Barrett and her husband, Kellen, Kalynn Craven and her husband, Stephen, Zach Boyd, Darienne Peterson, Taylor Peterson, Tyler Peterson, and Brandon Meador; five great grandchildren; and his sister, Janet Peterson.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, and five sisters.
