Laurie was my Janitor at McKinley when I was in grade school we became friends one day when I was at recess and I fell on the slide and scraped my knee she came walking outside and I was 5years old and I asked her “where the h*** were you” she thought that was unique and different and we were friends from that moment on and on my 9th birthday Laurie gave me her rubber rat to prank people with. It is such a horrible tragedy that she is gone she will be remembered always R.I.P Laurie forever my friend

I am at a complete loss for words at Laurie's passing. She always had a lot of light around her and was usually the funniest person in the room wherever that room was.
Sincere condolences to Randy, the girls, her grandchildren and sister.
Randy and girls, no words can ever express my sorrow for us not having Laurie in our world anymore. I worked with her for years at Park Avenue Sun Mart. She was a "One of a Kind". Randy, she talked about you and her babies ALL the time. Yawl were loved so dearly by her. Just being around her made everyone's day. God bless and keep you in His tender care. Sharon Hall
I worked with Laurie at Sun Mart she was so much fun, such a jokester. My nickname for her was squirrel girl because she was always being so silly. I still think of all the fun we had. So sorry to her of her passing my prayers are with you.
And she had a beautiful smile!!!

So sorry to hear this. She was a great lady. Love to Kiff and the kids-she will be missed by so many
Laurie, you will be so missed. thank you for the times I just needed to talk and you were always willing to listen and give your brand of advice. I will miss laughing with you. Fly high.
I have known Laurie since 1983, where we met working at Sun Mart Foods on Park Avenue together. After many laughs and pranks working and socializing with her and Randy, I took a few years off to stay home with my kids. We eventually worked together again at McKinley school a few years later and enjoyed reconnecting with her there. she was always running around the school having fun with the kids or pranking the teachers. Everyone LOVED her. I have had so many fun times with her and Randy in many different settings. She was always the life of the party. My deepest condolences go out to Randy and their girls which she adored more than anything in the world. RIP Laurie you made SO many memories for everyone to cherish.
