TREVOR ALLEN WIXOM
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Trevor Allen Wixom, 21, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Community, friends, and family candlelight vigil will be held at the Muscatine River front, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 7:00 pm. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online Condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com

Trevor was born in West Burlington, Iowa on August 18th, 2001. He is dearly remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Those lucky enough to have met him knew of his generosity. On several occasions, he had given his last dollar to help a new friend. "They needed it more than I did" was a catchphrase. Helping others was far more valuable to him than any material possession.

Trevor was passionate about the environment. He was a vegetarian that always picked up litter while on walks in nature. He enjoyed collecting drift wood and appreciating plants and wildlife. He was curious about the world and would spend hours at the library researching any topic he could get his hands on. Trevor lived with a heart condition and mental illness. He did his best to care for himself with holistic methods such as meditation, diet, music, and exercise. His family is proud of how hard he worked to overcome obstacles and of the person he was.

Trevor was a talented musician that played the drums and the euphonium in band throughout school. He created art in the form of sketches, paintings, wood carving, carpentry, floral arrangements, writing, and even grass weaving. Growing up, he cared for pet goats: Rudy, Randal, and Lady. He had a kind heart, especially when it came to animals. Other hobbies included playing Xbox, watching YouTube, collecting rocks and minerals, eating popcorn with a movie, fishing at lake geode, and traveling with plans to visit New Orleans.

Trevor is survived by many friends and family, including his parents, Dwayne Wixom and Julie Buhmeyer; his siblings, Troy Wixom, Brittnie Little, and Hailey Wixom; and his niece, Amarna Little.

CandleTrevor had this incredible aura to him. When he would ask to book a study room at the library or needed pointed in a certain shelf direction, he was always courteous and kind to me. I appreciated that kindness more than he probably realized. Trevor was a unique and bright individual. I will miss seeing him at the library.
