ANITA LOUISE LORD TITUS

MUSCATINE, IA – Anita Louise Lord Titus, 85, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus.

Graveside Service will be in Conesville Cemetery on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The Wittich-Riley- Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Services will be at The Church of Christ on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of her son, Dan Reynolds. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Anita Louise Lord Titus was born on September 2, 1940, in Muscatine, the daughter of Ed and Hazel Richardson Lord.

She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1958. Anita was a member of the Church of Christ, where she had a large, loving support group. She started working in 1975 at JCPenney’s, where she worked in multiple departments, for many years. Anita enjoyed the work and the people she worked with.

Anita had a strong passion for her family and animals, especially cats and dogs. She loved and enjoyed her many years of cat and dog companions. Anita was a crafty lady and did many crafts at bible camp for well over 30 years. Her other crafting passions were scrapbooking and making greeting cards. In her down time, she enjoyed reading, later in life when her eyes started to decline, she would listen to books on tape. She was also an avid fan of watching NCIS and CSI.

Her first love was for her boys, Rob Strong and Dan Reynolds, she cherished spending time with them. She always looked forward to the times she spent with her sister and going treasure hunting. She cherished the many weekends she spent with her granddaughter, Mckenzie.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Dan Reynolds; sister and good friend, Lynn Snyder; niece Nita Kay Evans (John); nephews Tom Bower (Judy); Grandchildren, David, Alex, Martha, Tina, Tasha, Johnathan, and Mckenzie; and good friends, Connie Bien, Connie Foster, Brenda, and the many friends she made working at JCPenney’s.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Rob Strong; sister, Evelyn; cousin, Pat; brother in law, Duke Snyder; and friends, Berniece and JoAnn.
