Ashley was born on April 21, 1992, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Daniel Clinton Reed and Susan Kay (Gremmels) Sours. On June 7, 2025, Luke Fitchner proposed, and of course she said YES! She was planning a wedding for October 17, 2026.

She graduated from Rockridge High School in 2010, then graduated from Capri College in 2012 with her cosmetology certificate and she worked at Shear Success for many years. She then worked at Bickford and received her CNA certification and was currently working at Lone Tree Health Care Center. Growing up, she was active in Girl Scouts, softball, and 4H showing cattle.

Ashley was a social butterfly with a smile and personality that would light up a room. She was inseparable with her twin sister, Amanda. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, going boating with family, bonfires, having people over, spoiling her niece and nephew, and spending time with Luke, even if it was just fixing a fence. She loved spending time with her son and supporting him in all his activities, one of their favorite things to do together was playing fetch with their rescue dog, Emmy.

She will be deeply missed by her Fiancé, Luke Fitchner; her son, Ayvin Newcomb; step children, Aurora Fitchner and Otto Fitchner; her mother and step-father, Sue and Robert Sours; twin sister, Amanda Reed; brother, Derek Reed and wife, Ashley; uncle, Bob Gremmels and wife, Pam; niece and nephew, Simmi and Ruzek Reed; paternal grandmother, Linda Reed; and cousins, Zach Sours and wife, Tricia, Samantha Sours, Nicholas Sours, Brooke DeLima and husband, Alec, and Carlli Gremmels.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dan Reed; paternal grandfather, Merle Reed Jr., maternal grandparents, William and Sandra Gremmels; aunt, Kathy Gremmels; and her best friend, Savannah Hahn.
