MUSCATINE, Iowa - Betty Laske, 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at UnityPoint Health Muscatine.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Susan Bantz will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of Jane Shea. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Betty was born on November 19, 1929, in Glen Carbon, Illinois, the daughter of Eli and Ella Bryant Lever. She married Robert C. Laske on May 23, 1948, in Centerville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1996.

Betty was a member of the Canasta Club, Card Clubs, and Lady of the Moose.

Betty loved playing canasta, knitting, playing the piano, and was a great cook. She enjoyed planting and taking care of her flowers outside. She also enjoyed Chicago trips with her daughter, Amanda, watching TV gameshows, and drinking Pepsi. Most of all, she loved her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Jane Shea and her husband, John, and Amanda Jane Laske; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; daughter, Judy McCann; and a brother in infancy, George.
