BEVERLY JEAN BREWER

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Beverly Jean Brewer, 94, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at her home.

A private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Beverly was born on March 23, 1931, in Muscatine, the daughter of Elmer W. and Velma McCollum Balser. She married James Brewer on October 7, 1951, in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2020.

Beverly was a member of the First Baptist Church. Her first job was at AT&T, formerly known as Ma Bell.

Beverly enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, baking, and playing Bingo. She also gave piano lessons. She loved to go on vacation with her husband, James, especially to winter in Arizona and Colorado in Estes Park.

Beverly is survived by her sons, Dennis (Mary) Brewer and Kevin (Crystol) Brewer; grandchildren, Zach (Lindsey) Brewer, Zane (Kassie) Brewer, Austin and Laken Raushenberger, and Selena Dominguez; great grandchildren, Zoey, Lucy, and Sadie.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and brother, Chuck Balser.
