BEVERLY KAE MERRITT

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Beverly Kae Merritt, 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at her home.

A Memorial Service at her farm will be held at a later date. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Beverly was born on May 23, 1950, in Muscatine, the daughter of Samuel Robert and Jacqueline Ruth Braasch Merritt.

Beverly had worked at Stanley Foundation years ago. She worked as a secretary for Hospital Admin until 1995. Throughout the years, she read meters for REC.

Beverly enjoyed her farm, gardening her strawberries and asparagus, and where she rode 4 wheelers. She loved all kinds of animals, cats, dogs, especially rottweilers and goats. She showed horses early on in 4H.

Beverly is survived by her sisters, Pam Lee and her husband, Wayne, and their children, Jamie and Jessica, and Sally Foster and her husband, Rudy, and their children, Sam and Jared; and farm partner, Bill Richardson and his daughter, Wendy.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Steven Merritt.
