BURTNETT ‘BUD’ MERL STINE JR.

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Burtnett ‘Bud’ Merl Stine Jr., 74, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, Trinity UnityPoint Hospital.

Bud was born on December 12, 1949, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Burtnett Merl Sr and Patricia Lee Davis-Stine.

Bud received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychiatry and Business from Metro State University in Denver, Colorado. He worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for many years and retired from UnityPoint Trinity Hospital. Bud was a member of The Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Muscatine, IA.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with family, especially Lennon, and spending time in the mountains in Colorado where he lived most of his adult life.

Bud will be deeply missed by his sister, Michelle Adams and her husband, Don, and his nephew Colin, all of Loveland, Colorado; his closest friends Lennon and Linsey Maeglin of Muscatine, IA; and his cousins Ken and Suzanne Davis of San Tan Valley, AZ.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert Lee Stine and William ‘Billy’ Stine.
