CAROLYN KUEBLER

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Carolyn Kuebler, 80, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at home.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Jake Greiner will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date. Pallbearers will be Jacob Kuebler, Daniel Kuebler, Kyle DeWulf, Cole DeWulf, Karl Kaale, and Connor Cahill.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the funeral home. Rosary Prayer Service will follow the visitation, at the funeral home. Caroyln was born on March 18, 1945, in Muscatine, the daughter of David Ronald and Edna Florence Fuller Stuart. She married Dennis Kuebler on June 25, 1966, at St. Mathais Church in Muscatine.

Carolyn graduated from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing in 1966. She worked at Muscatine General Hospital for a few years and then Muscatine Health Center as a pediatric nurse for Dr. Jon Fusselman. She retired as Director of Nursing at Muscatine Residential Services in 2001. 

Caroyln enjoyed quilting and sewing, altering many wedding and bridesmaids dresses for her daughters and their friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all their activities, including sporting events. She also enjoyed gardening and canning.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Kuebler; five children, John (Pier) Kuebler, Beth (Dale) Kuebler, Lisa (Morris) Beatty, Amy (Del) DeWulf, Jennifer (Bob) Haag, and Barb (Jeff) Peterson; grandchildren, Kelly (Karl) Kaale, Jacob (Rachel) Kuebler, Daniel Kuebler, Megan (Connor) Cahill, Kyle DeWulf, Cole DeWulf, Becca Haag, Kaitlyn Haag, Allison Haag, and Austin Nelson; siblings, Mary Knoll, and James R. Stuart; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Marilyn and Wayne Wells, Tony Gaeta, and Paul Adkins.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, David and Edna Stuart; father and mother-in-law, Butch and Lillian Kuebler; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard ‘Dick’ Kuebler, Richard Knoll, and Joan Kuebler.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the St. Croix Hospice and Genesis Home Health visiting nurses, Rachel, Kelly, Kim, Nicole, Karen, and additional caregivers, Lana and Pam for several years of care and compassion. Along with Dr. Cal Atwell, Ione Bachman, Rachel Creamer, Jim and Gail Wester, Fr. Jake Greiner, and Sr. Cheryl.
