CHARLOTTE GALE JENSEN

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Charlotte Gale Jensen, 87, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at UnityPoint Health Muscatine.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Minister Donny Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made to Midwest Bible Camp and Muscatine Church of Christ.  

Charlotte was born on January 10, 1938, in Goodman, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar and Ruby Maxwell Ball. She married James Robert Jensen on June 10, 1956, in rural Letts. He preceded her in death on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

Charlotte was a member of the Muscatine Church of Christ. Charlotte cooked at the Midwest Bible Camp. Her passion was being involved in the church and being a bible teacher.

Charlotte was an avid Iowa Hawkeye men’s and women’s basketball fan. She enjoyed baking, and loved being with family, especially with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Melody Gail Edkin of Muscatine, Carl Robert (Susan) Jensen of Muscatine, and Troy Duane (Jean) Jensen of Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren, Dustin, Dyana, Tarah, Carlee, Zachary, Emily, Eric, and Jenni; 10 great grandchildren, Ben, Nolan, Lana, Evie, Sydney, Emery, Trey, James, Molli, and Elliott.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; siblings, Annabelle, Nelson, Jaunita, Donald, and Dorotha; and son-in-law, Gregory W. Edkin.
