CHRIS DONALD WILDASIN

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Chris Donald Wildasin, 65, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Muscatine American Legion Post #27. A private family service took place, per Chris’ request. The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Beacon of Hope Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Chris was born on July 29, 1960, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Donald and Mary Knoll Wildasin. He married Nancy Maylone on March 3, 2004.

Chris graduated from West Liberty Community Schools in 1978. He attended Lincoln Technical College in Des Moines, IA, as an auto and diesel mechanic in 1979. He owned and operated T+A Repair in Muscatine for over 45 years. He loved fixing anything with a motor and wheels, especially something with a challenge. He enjoyed spending time outdoors at home or with friends having a good time and a cold beer. He was known for having his fall hayrack rides that grew every year as word of mouth got around, growing to be an annual event for years.

Chris is survived by his wife, Nancy; mother, Mary Wildasin; his daughter, Melinda (Andy) Hill; his grandchildren, Trevor and Gavin Hill; brother, Tim (Sherry) Wildasin, all of Muscatine; brother, Kevin Wildasin of West Liberty, Iowa; sister, Diane Bartenhagen of Muscatine; nephew, Austin (Tiffany) Bartenhagen; and niece, Toree (Kyle) Curtis.

He is preceded in death by his father, Don.
