CHRISTINE MARIE FLETCHER McKEE

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Christine Marie Fletcher McKee, 68, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, surrounded by her family at Trinity Rock Island.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Ss. Mary Mathias Church. The Reverend Chris Weber will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m., on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Rosary prayer service will follow visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Ss. Mary Mathias Parish. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com

Christine was born on December 5, 1956, in Muscatine, the daughter of William and Millie Markin Fletcher. She married Jim McKee on September 22, 2023, in Muscatine.

She retired from HNI after 38 years. After retirement she enjoyed working at The Hall Tree Boutique. She was a member of Ss. Mary Mathias Parish and was involved in Relay for Life.

She enjoyed going to the Lake of the Ozarks, going on sister trips, Chicago Cubs games, Girls Night Out (GNO), prayer group, attending her grandchildren’s events, and above all, spending time with her family.

Christine will be missed by her husband, Jim McKee; three children, Nick (Alyshea) Gow, Sarah Padilla, and Tiffany (Brian) Fulrath; three step children, Shawn Young, Jamee (Dave) Jenen, and JT (Ashley) McKee; five grandchildren, Grant and Connor Diehl, Alex and Jordan Padilla, and Maeve Fulrath; seven step grandchildren, Madison and Mallory Young, Evelyn, Cole, Declan Jenen, and Cameron and Parker McKee; her father, William Fletcher; five siblings, Peggy Shield, Lisa (Tom) Sturms, Bill (Teresa) Fletcher, Mike Fletcher, and Kim James; brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Lisa) McKee, Margo (Mike) Hamsher, Madeline (Terry) Eagle; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Millie Fletcher; and brothers-in-law, Tom Shield and Mark McKee.
