DANIEL E. ROBERTSON

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Daniel E. Robertson, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Harmony Nursing Home.

Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Rock Island National Cemetery. If anyone with a Street Rod/Classic Car that would be able to drive their car in this event, that would be greatly appreciated. The family will be meeting at the Muscatine Riverfront at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, and leaving at 12:00 p.m. to process to the service. Daniel was born on September 7, 1939, in Farmington, Kentucky, the son of Reverend Thomas Jerrell Robertson and Ruby Nelson Pullen.

Daniel was an auto body mechanic and enjoyed working on his classic cars. He was a member of the River City Cruisers, NSRA, and the Ramblin Rodders. Daniel served in the Army as a Sargeant E5 from 1961 until being honorably discharged in 1964.

In his younger years, he enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting. Daniel’s true passion was cars, especially street rods, classic cars, and racing stock cars. He also loved going to the casino and playing slot machines. Daniel was an avid NASCAR, Chicago Cubs, and Iowa Hawkeye fan. If he wasn’t watching sports, he was most definitely watching old westerns.

Daniel is survived by his children, Steve Robertson (Jenn) of Iowa City, Iowa, Randy Robertson of Muscatine, Iowa, Sara Sedam (Andy) of New Boston, Illinois, and Deanna Castillo (Roy) of Muscatine, Iowa; grandchildren, Jacob Dusenberry, John Robertson, Lauryn Robertson, Amaya Robertson, Kaitlyn Harris, Jaxon Robertson, Tony Sedam, Isaiah Robertson, Emma Sedam, and Drew Sedam; and 11 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Van Gray; son, Craig Scott Robertson; stepson, Jason Carlisle; grandson, Nathan Robertson; brother, Enoch Robertson; and sister, Georgia Lynn Seaton.
