DANNY LEE BEAN JR.

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Danny Lee Bean Jr., 66, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Genesis East.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Muscatine Iowa National Guard Armory, 5901 US Highway 61. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society or CJ Speedway Kids Club. Danny was born on June 4, 1957, in Muscatine, the son of Danny Lee and Sharon (Blake) Bean Sr. He married Sandy H. Weigand on March 10, 1989, in McAllen, Texas.

Danny was a Muscatine High School graduate of 1975. He owned Beans Body shop and later worked at Raymond as a welder until retirement.

Danny loved his family, especially his dogs, Deuce and Rousey May, as well as his kitty. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, and working on cars with his son, Jacob. Danny loved spending his Friday nights having dinner with his daughter, Katie, or cheering on the Bean race team at the track. He had a great sense of humor, and truly was a bear with a big heart.

Danny is survived by his wife, Sandy H. Bean of Muscatine; children, Katie Bean of Muscatine and Jacob (Victoria) Bean of New London; siblings, Belinda (Tom) Howland of Sebring, Florida, Bruce (Shelly) Bean of Muscatine, and Norman Bean of Muscatine; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Bean.
