DARYL LEE McINTIRE

FRUITLAND, Iowa – Daryl Lee McIntire, 58, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at his home after a 3-year battle with ALS.

Daryl was born on April 11, 1966, in Muscatine, the son of Rex and Margie Whitney McIntire.

Daryl was a 1984 graduate of Westmer High School and grew up in Joy, Illinois. After a longtime career at HON, he retired after 35 years of service. He was a Boy Scout leader for several years at the Salvation Army.

There was nothing Daryl couldn’t do and was a jack of all trades. He was an avid Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed music, hunting, fishing, and loved good food.

Mostly, he was a proud Irishman.

Daryl is survived by his significant other, Jody Morris; 3 bonus kids, Britton Falzarano (Tito), Lainey Truitt (Roman), and Grayson Morris; 3 bonus grandchildren, Meryl, Wren, and Laurel; father, Rex McIntire (Cheryl); sister, Janet Godwin (John); nephew, Joshua Fahrenkrog (Shawnna); niece, Shelby Fritz (Andrew); and his beloved dog, Cooper.
