DONNA JANE TIBBETTS

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Donna Jane Tibbetts, 80, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at home.

A Graveside Service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Reverend Chris Weber will officiate. The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of her son, Thomas. Donna was born on August 3, 1945, in Iowa, the daughter of Florence Schmidt and Donald Tibbetts.

She graduated from Hayes Catholic High and received her nursing degree. She was a practicing nurse before retiring. Donna was a member of Ss. Mary Mathias Parish and enjoyed collecting owls, knitting, and sewing. She made wedding and bridesmaid dresses and loved her dogs.

Donna is survived by her son, Thomas A. Tibbetts of Muscatine; two granddaughters; two brothers, George Tibbetts of California and Richard Tibbetts of Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandra Kennelly.
