DOROTHY JEAN BOZARTH

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Jeanne Bozarth passed away on October 15, 2025, at her home in Muscatine, Iowa surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy Jean Bozarth was born July 28, 1946, in Muscatine to Carmen and Robert Goldesberry Sr. She was married to Gary K. Bozarth for forty-four years. She is survived by her husband and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Their daughter Sarah and her husband Jeff Marshall live in Muscatine. Tery Bozarth is father of Joshua, Jenna, and Jared and lives in Missouri. Kevin Morgan and his wife Stephanie are parents to Theodore and Charles and live in Maryland. Theodore and his wife Natalie are parents to Elijah and Claire. Her mothering heart was also felt by many of her nieces and nephews, and the children and grandchildren of her lifelong friends.

She graduated from Columbus Junction High School. In the late 1980s, Jeanne graduated from Muscatine Community College and then Iowa Wesleyan University. She was a continuous reader. Her extensive work history includes time as a lab technician at Thatcher Plastics, a full-time substitute teacher, and shift lead at CDS Global. She was a night owl who thrived on the third shift schedule. She was a skilled, self-taught crocheter. She enjoyed watching Hawkeye sports, MASH, and Perry Mason. She was busy in summers, gardening and canning tomatoes. She had a great love for her dogs. Over the years, she proudly spoiled a poodle, husky, chihuahua, and mixed breeds.

Jeanne's surviving siblings are Lee Goldesberry, Daisy Matthews, Donald Goldesberry, Kerry Goldesberry, and Terry Power. She was preceded in death by her sister Catherine Davis, and most beloved brother Bobby. Her extended family includes uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the many she loved and nurtured like family. She was previously married to Lon Morgan.
