DR. GINA JIN HUSS

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Dr. Gina Jin Huss, 40, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her home.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Rendezvous, 3127 Lucas Street, Muscatine, Iowa 52761. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Croix Hospice, in honor of Gina. Online condolences may we made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.  

Gina was born on October 30, 1983, in Busan, South Korea, the daughter of Daniel and Alice Kline Huss.

Gina graduated from Muscatine High School in 2002. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Iowa, then her medical degree at Creighton University. After graduating, she practiced at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Gina loved traveling and enjoyed all kinds of sports, especially golfing. She loved dogs, especially her dog, Lola. She was well loved by all who knew her. Gina was a very caring and generous person.

Gina is survived by her parents, Daniel and Alice Huss; her brothers, Mark Huss and his wife, Yan, and their son, Evan, and Brian Huss and his wife, Jill, and their children, Peyton and Jackson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
