EYVONNE ‘BONNIE’ IONA SMITH

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Eyvonne ‘Bonnie’ Iona Smith, 93, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Lutheran Living, after celebrating her 93rd birthday on April 5.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Paul Benevides with Compassus Hospice will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kelly Adams, Jeremy Johnson, Matt Adams, Sydney Adams, and Dominic Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of her daughters. Bonnie was born on April 5, 1933, in Muscatine, the daughter of Clifford E. Seiler and Ethel M. Hinkley.

Bonnie worked at the telephone company as a switchboard operator, Woolworths, was a bookkeeper at Sun Mart, worked the ticket booth Boston Cinema, and as a Walmart greeter.

Bonnie enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, sewing, yard sales, thrift stores, and baking Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed remodeling her home throughout the years. Most of all, she loved family get togethers and all of her grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Sherrill Smith, Barb Johnson, and Mike (Bonnie) Smith; grandchildren, Kelly (Matt) Adams, and Jeremy Johnson; step granddaughter, Cassie; great grandchildren, Dominic (Maddison Steele) Adams, and Sydney Adams; step greatgrandchildren, Gage Adams, Leah and Zoey; great great grandchildren, Lennox Eyvonne Adams, who was named after Bonnie and was her pride and joy; step great great grandchild, Aurora Adams; sister, Pam Littrel; sisters-in-law, Pat Seiler and Teresa Seiler; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Seiler and Ethel Hinkley Seiler; siblings, Clifford ‘Bill’ Seiler, Nancy (Dave) Plowman, Beverly (Butch) Hull, and Robert Seiler; and niece, Heather Littrel.
