EZRA SEGURA

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Ezra Alexander Segura, 7, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend David McIntosh will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Ezra's honor to his parents. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Erza was born on June 18, 2016, in Decatur, Texas, the son of Jose Carlitos Segura and Alejandra Castaneda Segura.

Ezra had a Texas attitude and was quite a firecracker. He enjoyed listening to George Straight, loved cuddles and being the center of attention, he was always up to something, keeping his mother on her toes. Above all, Ezra was so loved by his family.

His sister, Azula, loved his googly eyes and called him "Baby Muchacho" and his brother Aiden says Ezra was cool, handsome, a ninja that was super strong. Aiden says, "Ezra was the best brother."

Ezra is survived by his parents, Jose and Alejandra Segura, both of Muscatine; his siblings, Aiden and Azula Segura, both of Muscatine; maternal grandparents, Jorge and Elvira Castaneda, both of Muscatine; paternal grandparents, Carlos and Margarita Segura, both of Muenster, Texas; maternal great grandma, Maria Mendoza of West Liberty; paternal great grandpa, Jose Segura of Muenster, Texas; paternal great grandma, Antonia Caudillo of Fort Worth, Texas; paternal great grandpa, Benito Loera of Forestburg, Texas; maternal aunts, Ana Magana and Adriana Rosas both of Muscatine; and paternal uncles, Jesus Segura, Andres Segura, Marcos Segura, and Gustavo Segura, all of Muenster, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his great aunt, Ana Mendoza, and maternal great grandpa, Jose Mendoza.
