GREGORY MILLS WEBER

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Gregory Mills Weber, 64, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at his home of natural causes. 

Greg was born on November 11, 1959 in Muscatine, IA, the son of Gary and Barbara Weber.

A 1978 graduate of Muscatine High School, many favorite memories & stories were often centered around his love of participating on the boys varsity swim team.

As an avid adventurer, Greg was involved in many careers, that centered around the hobbies he loved most. A crew member aboard the Delta Queen steamboat, many positions within the automotive industry, (including his family owned business "Mills Auto Parts"), owning his own restaurant, "Weber's Grill", a conductor on the Iowa Interstate Railroad & finally retiring as a bus driver from the Muscatine Community School District. 

Throughout his life, Greg was known for being a captivating & vivid entertainer of many stories & jokes. You may have had the chance to hear the same one... multiple times! :)  In addition, he loved being the "hostess with the mostest".  A man with an exorbitant outpouring of love, involving all things in the kitchen! 

He was an aficionado of history, military, traveling, railroads, planes & automobiles. An irreplaceable wealth of knowledge.

All who loved him will miss his exuberant personality in everything he did & the ways he shared his gifts. 

Gregory is survived by his spouse, Shelly Smith; children, Elizabeth Weber, Lauren Weber, Maxwell Weber & fiance' Katie Spellman; granddaughter, Dasi Trout; mother, Barbara ByWaters & husband David ByWaters; Sisters, Lynn Woolf & husband Russell Woolf, Jane Mack and his special little best friend, his dog Snicker. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Gary. 

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to It Takes a Village or Muscatine Humane Society. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
