ISIDRO AGUIRRE

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Isidro ‘Chilo’ Aguirre, 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, at home, surrounded by family.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Samuel Aguirre, Ricardo Aguirre, Christian Aguirre, Orlando Lopez, Oscar Lopez, and David Aguirre. Burial will take place after the service in Fruitland, Iowa at the Island Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Visitation will be from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Chilo was born on May 15, 1961, in Ciudad de Acuña, Coahuila, the son of Josè and Maria Torres Aguirre. He married Maria Lopez on January 11, 1980, in Del Rio, Texas. They recently celebrated their 46th anniversary.

He enjoyed going to church, playing the drums, watching rodeos, cleaning and maintaining his cars and bargaining. He was known for always carrying a jalapeno in his pocket and making his famous salsa. Above all, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s events and spending time with them.

Chilo is survived by his wife, Maria of Muscatine; three children, Samuel (Shanna) Aguirre, Cristina (Oscar) Lopez, and Ricardo Aguirre; seven grandchildren, Aubrey Aguirre, Christian Aguirre, Chanel Aguirre, Orlando Lopez, Tatiana Lopez, Layla Lopez, and Jaheli Fernandez; one great grandchild, Anthony Aguirre-Martinez; and five siblings, David Aguirre, Eva Rocha, Jose J. Aguirre, Jose Torres, and Rosa Dehoyos. He will also be deeply missed by his in-laws, Rito and Evangelina Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
