JAMES HONEYMAN

MUSCATINE, Iowa – James E. Honeyman, 73, of Muscatine passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Tyler Baars will officiate. Jim was born on May 28, 1952, in Muscatine, the son of Virgil and Margaret Wessels Honeyman. He married Tricia Franklin on June 6, 1985, at Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine.

He worked as a maintenance planner at Monsanto.

Jim enjoyed watching his kids play sports, bowling, NASCAR, and watching Hawkeye basketball and football. He was a lifelong Denver Bronco fan, a handy man, and loved spending time with his family. Jim never knew a stranger and loved going to his Monsanto Coffee Club.

He is survived by his wife, Tricia Honeyman of Muscatine; three children, Justin Honeyman (Janel), Brandon Honeyman (Annelise), and Jessica Honeyman; six grandchildren, Ashleigh, Cooper, Sean, Theo, Atticus, and Jameson; one great grandchild, Marleigh; one brother, John A. Honeyman; brother in law, Terry Franklin (Tena); and a very special nephew, Jay Franklin, who was by his side through all the suffering.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; brother, William V. Honeyman; and father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Nancy Franklin.
