JAMES "JIM" WILLIAM YERINGTON

MUSCATINE, Iowa - James "Jim" William Yerington, 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at UnityPoint Hospital Muscatine.

Celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the American Legion in Muscatine. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to his wife, Kellie, in Jim's honor. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

James "Jim" Yerington was born on February 27th, 1962, the son of James Wesley and Judy (Schildberg) Yerington. He married Kellie Knight on May 6, 2000, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

James "Jim" Yerington enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending some time with family. He liked to spend his time outdoors, riding four wheelers, and driving through the country. He enjoyed drinking Busch Light and eating wild game, deer, duck, pheasant, turkey, and more.

James "Jim" Yerington is survived by his wife, Kellie Yerington; two sons, Jared Yerington and Jorden Yerington; father and stepmother, James and Rose Yerington; sisters, Debbie (Gene) Goddard of Letts, IA and Kathy Zaehringer of Muscatine; his twin brother, John (Jane) Yerington; nieces and nephews, Jennie Yerington, Austin Yerington, Bowen (Samantha) Spitznogle, Todd (Alicia) Zaehringer, Jason (Karen) Zaehringer, Matt (Carrie) Zaehringer, Ryan (Megan) Zaehringer, Cory Zaehringer, Ryan Knight, and Ashley Knight; brother-in-law, Matt (Kerstin) Knight; and father-in-law, Melvin Knight.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Judy Kronfeldt; brother, Joseph; sister, Pamela Yerington; brother-in-law, Jess Spitznogle; and mother-in-law, Kathryn 'Kathy' Knight.
