MUSCATINE, Iowa – Johnny Montagna, 62, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Genesis East.

Johnny was born on March 22, 1963, in Muscatine, the son of Marcus and Nina A. Grady Montagna Sr.
Johnny enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved living in Corpus Christi, Texas. He loved spending time with his daughter, Brittney, and her dog, Crisco. Johnny also loved talking with his brother, Bob, for hours.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Brittney Montagna; stepchildren, Shannon (Chris) Wiegand, Kimberly Tigrett, and Jessica (Jason) Klerk de Reus; grand dogs, Crisco, Goose; grand cat, Peanut; brothers, Kim Kneese, Marcus (Diana) Montagna Jr., Robert Montagna, Gary Montagna; sisters, Gloria (Jerry) Schmelzer, and Robin Leaf.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gale McIntosh; and brother-in-law, Scott Leaf.
