KAREN DIVENEY

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Karen Diveney, 82, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Lutheran Living.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family, in the care of James Jr.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor John Brown will officiate. Burial will take place in Conesville Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Karen was born on September 4, 1942, in Muscatine, IA, the daughter of Wilbur and Florence Ellis Patterson. She married James Diveney in October of 1960 in Muscatine, at Mulford Church.

Karen was a member of the Harrison Gospel Chapel.

Karen enjoyed traveling and would go on a trip every summer, successfully visiting all 50 states. She enjoyed thrift shopping and road trips. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family.

Karen is survived by her husband, James Sr.; children, James Jr. (Jennifer), Scott (Orasa), and Kristina Ash (James); grandchildren, Ellis, Wes, Daylyn, Nahum, Noah, Ashly, Mackinsey, and Sydney; great grandchildren, Naomi, Nora, Nile, Lily, Hudson, and Aurora; and brother, Eldon Patterson (Nancy).

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Charlotte, Patsy, Connie, Donna, Phil, Charlie, and Ronnie.
