MUSCATINE, Iowa - Kathy Ann Schultheis Knight, 74, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at home.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Muscatine American Legion. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compasses. Online Condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com

Kathy was born on August 15, 1949, in Muscatine, the daughter of Earland Edward and Barbara Jean Lear Schultheis. She was a lifelong resident of Muscatine. She married Melvin E. Knight on August 5, 1967, in Muscatine.

She had a lot of friends. She enjoyed going to any and all thrift stores and yard sales for all her knick-knacks. She loved to decorate, or as she liked to call it, creating inside and outside the house with all her decorations and always loved spending time with her family. She will be forever missed. Love you Mom.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Melvin Knight of Muscatine; one son, Matt (Kerstin) Knight of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Kellie (James) Yerington of Muscatine; four grandchildren Ryan and Ashley Knight, and Jared and Jorden Yerington; three great grandchildren, Easton, Wyatt, and Taytem Harris; one brother, Ed Schultheis; and two sisters, Sally Kerr, and Vicki (Darrell) Saultz.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Richard Kerr.
