KEITH WILLIAM BROCKERT

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Keith William Brockert, 95, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, at Wilton Retirement Center, surrounded by family, after injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident on Christmas Eve.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Ss. Mary Mathias Catholic Church. The Reverend Chris Weber will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held following the visitation. Keith was born on August 17, 1930, in Montpelier, Iowa, the son of Irvin and Opal Finley Brockert. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Rose Yerington on June 26, 1954, at the St. Mathias Church in Muscatine. They were united in marriage for 69 years. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2024.

Keith was a member of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Catholic Parish. He worked at the Russelloy Foundry in Durant as a grinder for almost 30 years before retiring.

Keith enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid gardener. He was a craftsman that loved metalworking and woodworking. He loved being Grace’s bingo helper at LSAL, where he resided in Wilton. Keith never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his family, especially babysitting his grandkids and grand dogs.

Keith is survived by his children, Jim Brockert and his wife, Amy, Karen Brockert, Joyce Langrehr and her significant other, John Reicks, Jean Salazar and her spouse, Jessie, and Lois Eisenbacher and her spouse, John; grandchildren, Cara, Christopher, Helena, Jonathan, Benjamin, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Lary, Heather, Jason, Sarah, Nathan, Jennifer, Jasmine, Jessie, Jonathan, Matthew, and Brittany; several great grandchildren; siblings, Delores Duncan and Harry Brockert; and daughter-in-law, Linda Brockert.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen; son, David Brockert; grandsons, Keith, James, and Dustin; and siblings, Ruby Adams, Kenneth Brockert, Harold Brockert, Benny Brockert, and Doris Brockert.
