KENNETH SPITZNOGLE

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Kenneth Spitznogle, 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the University of Iowa.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Riverview Center. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Kenneth was born on February 14, 1956, in Muscatine, the son of Karl Lee and Carolyn Lamb Spitznogle. He married Lorana Atkins on August 25, 1974, at the Island Kilpeck Church in Muscatine.

Kenneth was self employed as a heavy equipment operator. He then worked at Fox Construction and John Brauns. He has also a co-owner of a stockcar with his daughter, Randi.

Kenneth enjoyed tinkering in his garage and loved to go fishing with his wife and family.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lorana; children, Randi (Calvin Heister) Spitznogle, Shane (Jayne) Spitznogle, and Cindy Spitznogle; grandchildren, Lucas (Tonya) Spitznogle, Hunter (Linda) Spitznogle, Drake Rickey, Kendra (Billy) Spitznogle Wilson, Zeth (Beth) Spitznogle, Brennan Murphy, and Nolan Spitznogle Trevino; great grandchildren, Kenalee, Raylyn, Elizabeth, and William; and siblings, Dennis Spitznogle, KayC Spitznogle Chirty, John Reed, and David Kelley.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
