KIM MCDANIEL DIERICKX

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Kim McDaniel Dierickx, 68, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Lutheran Living.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon Maddy Carroll will officiate. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Missipi Brew. Memorials may be made to New Era Lutheran Church or Muscatine Humane Society. The Ralph J. Kim was born on February 9, 1957, in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Mockmore McDaniel. She married Paul Dierickx on August 1, 1980. They were married for 43 years and later divorced. She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1975. Kim was a member of the New Era Lutheran Church.

Kim lived in Austin, Texas for many years before returning to Muscatine, but did not like the cold and snow. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting bbq’s. Her favorite restaurants were Maidrite and Happy Joes. She loved her cats and dogs. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Kim is survived by her father, Kenneth; her cat, Margarita; siblings, Kristine Gladwell and Rick (Janet) McDaniel; aunts, Ruth Curtis, Karen McDaniel, and Joyce Rudbeck and her daughter, Kelli; many cousins; nieces and nephews, Renee (Chad) Johnson, Becka (Doug) Dotson, Rob Gladwell, Ryan (Alexandria) Gladwell, Rachelle (Corey) Harris, Brady McDaniel, Marcus McDaniel, and Austin McDaniel; several great and great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley; grandparents, Clarence and Eva Mockmore and Vivian and Charles McDaniel; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
