MUSCATINE, Iowa – Larry Snyder, 83, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Harmony Utica Ridge in Davenport.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the First Christian Church in Muscatine. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pastor Marcy Heil will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muscatine.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or Muscatine Charities Inc. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Larry was born on July 25, 1941, in Muscatine, son of Samuel and Minnie B. Hathaway Snyder. He was the 8th of 15 children. He married Marlene Juels in 1961. He later married Sally Rohwedder on November 3, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Larry was a member of the Muscatine Bowling Hall of Fame. He was an avid hockey fan and loved music.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sally; his sons, Larry W. (Cathy) Snyder and Mark A. (Marjoray) Snyder; stepchildren, Aaron (Rhonda) Rohwedder, Jennifer (Michael) Harl, and Amanda (Bradly) Ohsann; 8 grandchildren; 2 greatgrandchildren; and siblings, Sharon (Craton) Hunt, Mary Bragg, Gary (Doris) Snyder, Bob (Cindy) Snyder, Kathy Snyder, and Walter (Rita) Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Margaret Snyder in infancy, Richard Snyder, Marianne Farrar, Don Snyder, Melvin Snyder, Janet Mariet, John Snyder, and Gayle Snyder.
