MUSCATINE, Iowa – Larry Joe Wood, 76, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at home.

Joe was born on March 30, 1950, in Nichols, Iowa, the son of William Earnest Wood and Jaunita M. Wood. He married Sharon Kay Lance on February 14, 1981.

Joe attended Letts and Grandview grade schools and graduated from L&M High School in 1969. He was a truck driver most of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; their son, Jared and his wife, Erin, of East Moline; four grandchildren, Angel, Adelynn, Avalynn, and Atlas; brother, Donald Wood and wife, Sharon, of Wapello; sisters, Sharon Dominguez of Lone Tree, Cheryl Venzor and husband, Ernesto, of Conesville, and Karen ‘Kattie’ Gibson and husband, Vernon, of Louisville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
