LEE ZIEGENHORN

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Lee Ziegenhorn, 74, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the University of Iowa.

Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Jody’s Bar, 226 Walnut Street Muscatine, Iowa 52761. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Iowa Donor Network. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Lee was born on December 8, 1950, in Muscatine, the son of Donald M. and Marjorie E. McElroy Ziegenhorn.

Lee was a 1969 graduate of Muscatine High School. He worked at Newcomb Trucking as a truck driver.

Lee was an avid Cubs and Hawkeyes fan. He enjoyed spending time at Jody’s and watching black and white movies. After retiring, he enjoyed spending Friday afternoons at Newcombs.

Lee is survived by his brother, Craig (Mary) Ziegenhorn of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces, Trisha and Stefanie; grand nephews, Jonah, Cameron, and Cole.

He is preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Virgil McElroy; cousins, Kelly Ingstad and Kim Ingstad.
