LILLIAN ALMANDINGER

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Lillian Almandinger, 93, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Harmony Utica Ridge.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Todd Tyler will officiate. Burial will be in Montpelier Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ).

Lillian was born on November 9, 1931, in Palmyra, Missouri, the daughter of James Edward and Alice Rose Koch Davis. She married Millard L. Almandinger on July 3, 1948, in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1984.

Lillian was a member of the Christian Center Church.

Lillian enjoyed word searches, watching political news, coloring, and painting her nails. She loved going to the park and watching the ducks and squirrels and the Vander Veer Botanical Park.

Lillian is survived by her children, Michael (Randy) Almandinger, Leo Almandinger, Susan (Jerry) DeWitt, Kathy (Paul) Peterson, Sarah (Lee) Brewer, and Rebecca ‘Becky’ (Dennis) Dipple; 14 grandchildren, Eddie, Tara, Lyndsay, Lesley, Katie, Robert, Chrissy, Adam, Kelly, David, Dennis, Travis, Luke, and Lizabeth; 19 great grandchildren, Aaron, John, Joey, Joshua, Emma, Ethan, Thayer, Delaney, Isla, Kara, Seina, Kai, London, Jasper, Wyatt, Eli, Jayden, Jameson, and Jetta; and her beloved dog, Buddy, her companion she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Millard; children, Dennis ‘Pat’ Almandinger in 2012 and Daniel Eugene Almandinger in 2021; and her three brothers, George, Charles, and Henry.
