LINDA J. HORA

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Linda J. Hora, 66, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Jason Collier will officiate. Burial will be in Cairo Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Linda was born on June 27, 1957, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Olin Mitchell and Norma Faith Bender Jennings. She married Richard Alan Hora on June 18, 1983, at the United Methodist Church in Columbus Junction, Iowa.

Linda attended Columbus Community High School and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University. She then worked at Proctor and Gamble for over 30 years.

Linda was an amazing baker and kept all the family’s recipes. She loved spending time with her loving family. Taking care of others, especially her family. She was an avid Iowa State Cyclones fan.

Linda is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Kenny L. Hora (Amy Kuboushek); grandchildren, Adalyn G. Hermanson and Natalie P. Hora; siblings, Marilyn Harms (Dennis Trimble), Betty Lenz (Delbert), Alan Jennings (Melinda), and Janice Williams (Steve).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Norma; parents-in-law, Frank and Pat Hora; grandparents, Donald and Grace Jennings, and John and Florence Bender.
