LINDA ANNE STODDARD

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Linda Anne Stoddard, 80, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at her home. 

There will be no services. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society, Muscatine Arboretum, or the Muscatine County Environmental Learning Center in Discovery Park. Linda was born on September 20, 1943, in Vallejo, California, the daughter of Richard H. and Anne Dorothea Dow Stoddard.

Linda was a 1961 graduate of Muscatine High School and a 1962 graduate of Muscatine Junior College. She worked at the Muscatine Journal, Mills Auto Parts, and retired from Bandag in 1999.

Linda truly enjoyed helping others by fundraising and volunteering for the Muscatine Humane Society, Muscatine Police Department, Muscatine Arboretum, and the Muscatine blood center. She made numerous Barbie doll clothes for the Volunteer Action Center for Christmas, and delivered books to people confined to their homes and friends in nursing homes. She raised monarch caterpillars into butterflies and enjoyed gardening and her daily walk with her Arboretum group. Linda loved all her cats and dogs through the years.

Linda is survived by her brother, Tim Stoddard; sister, Debby (Doug) Crooks.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard H. Stoddard Jr.
