LOIS MARIE SLUTTS

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Lois Marie Slutts, 79, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Trinity Rock Island.

There will be a private family burial at Island Cemetery. The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Lois was born on March 6, 1947, in Iowa, the daughter of Charles Harns and Millie Nicwerner. She married Robert Slutts in Illinois. They were married for 55 years.

Lois enjoyed to crotchet Afghans, fishing, and camping. She loved watching wrestling, Young and the Restless, and any Cubs game. She was an avid Elvis fan. Lois loved everyone and never knew a stranger. Most of all, she loved her family.

Lois is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Mary Ann Kortes and Troy (Tiffany Jewell) Slutts; stepchildren, Robert W. (Julie) Slutts, Scott Slutts, Robin (Bridgett) Lewandowski, and Shannon (Tracy Gavin) Slutts; grandson, Jonathon Kortes; several step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter, Mary Cole; brother, Sonny; and sister, Mary Lou.
