LONNIE JOE CLESTER

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Lonnie Joe Clester, 59, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at home.

Per his wishes, Lonnie has been cremated. Graveside Service for friends and family will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Old Stone Cemetery. Reverend Susan Bantz will officiate. Memorials may be made to his family, in Lonnie’s honor. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Lonnie was born on July 17, 1964, in Muscatine, the son of Gary Dean and Mary JoAnn Bryant Clester. He married Betsy Miller. They later divorced.

Lonnie was a handyman and knew how to do everything. He worked for Tal Bixby at Ventilation Services for 20 years.

Through the years, Lonnie enjoyed being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, or trapping.  

Lonnie is survived by his girlfriend Lisa Spurling; four sons, Anthony Kranz, Zachary Clester, Mitchell Clester, and Tyler Clester; three grandchildren; father, Gary Clester; siblings, Gary Clester and significant other, Vickie Kerr, Troy Clester, Dusty Clester, Rusty Clester and wife, Stephanie, and Tracy Clester and significant other, Crystal; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary, on April 20, 2023.
