MARCELLA DELORES SCHNEDLER

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Marcella Delores Schnedler, 101, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Pearl City Place.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Ss. Mary Mathias Catholic Church. The Reverend Hai Dinh will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Samuel Harper, Tessa Huff, Kari Knowles, Geddy Hilton, Lucinda Harper, Daniel Baker, and Matthew Baker. Time for food and fellowship will be held at Gannon Hall immediately following the mass.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Marcella was born on June 20, 1924, in Wilton, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Theresa Preston Bujewski. She married Harry A. ‘Red’ Schnedler on September 22, 1948, in Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2018.

Marcella was a 1943 graduate of St. Mathias High School. She was a head cook for the Muscatine Schools for 12 years. She was a member of the Ss. Mary Mathias Catholic Church and Ladies of the Moose.

Marcella enjoyed spending time with her husband and her family, especially in the cabin on the Mississippi River. She loved dancing with her husband every Saturday night. She was well known for her chocolate chip cookies.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mary E. (Tom) Harper, Roberta A. (Geoff) Hilton, and Linda M. (Chuck) Miholovich; grandchildren, Samuel Harper, Luci Harper, Tessa Huff, Dan Baker, Kari (Joe) Knowles, Matthew (Kourtney) Baker, and Geddy Hilton; great grandchildren, Riley Harper, Evelyn Huff, Jacob Huff, Thomas Huff, Logan Knowles, Michael Knowles, Halle Knowles, and MaryKate Baker; and nieces and nephews.

Marcella is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry ‘Red’ Schnedler; brother, William Bujewski; sister, Mary Turek; son-in-law, Michael Baker; brother-in-law, Robert Schnedler; and sister-in-law, Donna Fitzgerald.
