MARILYN BAER
MUSCATINE, Iowa – Marilyn Joann Maher Baer, 91, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Pearl City Place.
Burial will take place in the Rock Island National Cemetery, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Croix Hospice. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com
Marilyn was born on January 19, 1934, in Muscatine, the daughter of Frank and Margaret Erdman Maher. She married Donald Baer on May 3, 1958, in Muscatine.
She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, gambling with special friends, going fishing, bowling, watching her grandchildren in sports and spending time with them. She appreciated her brother Randy for taking care of her and loved all the visits from friends and family.
The family would like to extend a thank you on, Marilyns behalf, for the care she received from the staff at St. Croix Hospice and Pearl City Place.
Those left to honor her honor memory include her children, Brett Baer and significant other, Debbie Ahlf, Peggy Hart and husband, Jerry, and Lori Reifert and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Chad Haroun, Robert Yerington (Alan), Michelle (Tyler) Teel, Nick Reifert, Jamie (Shella) Hart, Jeff Hart, and Julie (Chris) Kendall; great-grandchildren, Eli Hart, Kaleb Hart, Emma Teel, Rylan Teel, and Payton Reifert; siblings, Ed Maher, Randy Naber, Janice Lowns, and Irene Lande; cousin, Kay Horton; and special family friend, Dick Lindle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and siblings, Charles Maher, Ben Maher, Ron Naber, and Jim Maher.
