MUSCATINE, Iowa – Mark Ashton McFarland, 16, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Funeral Service for the McFarland family will be 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Ss. Mary Mathias Church. Mark was born on August 1, 2009, in Iowa, the son of Ryan and Lesa Purinton McFarland.

Mark attended Muscatine High School and was working at Pizza Ranch.

Mark had a passion for mechanics, especially working on and riding motorcycles and cars. He also enjoyed playing video games with his brothers and friends, watching YouTube videos, and playing tennis. He loved listening to music, lifting weights, and was a dedicated fan of the Fast and Furious movies. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his loved ones.

Mark is survived by his brother, Johnathan McFarland.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ryan and Lesa McFarland and siblings, Ryle McFarland, Ryan Scott McFarland, Dakota Whitlow, and Austin Harris.
